These are some ideas shot for an abstract assignment for my studio photography class. Posting will drop during the school year. I’ll try to attend some events and upload some stuff as often as I can.

On my way home the other day I saw storming on the Wisconsin side so I grabbed my tripod and 40D and headed down to the Levy.

Fireworks in La Crosse began at 10 pm Friday during Riverfest. I was lucky to find a great spot to plop my tripod and watch the fireworks without having to stand for it.

I decided to head down to Steamboat days and see if I could find anything interesting. I made a few good images with superb light just before dusk. It’s interesting how candid carnies become when they notice a camera. They all keep asking, “why don’t you come and highlight me?”

I usually just shrug and continue on.

After the bridge closed on June 3 I decided to head out and see if there was anything worth checking out down by the river. I found the sky to be many interesting colors and came home with better sunset photos.

On Sunday I ventured to Wisconsin Dells, Wis. to see a car show with my dad and Kelly. I’m always impressed with the curves and shapes in classic cars. Though the designs are not intricate they are still amazing. It was cloudy out which made taking photos superb since I didn’t have to deal with any heavy shadows.

After the car show Kelly and I went to Robot World. Most of the pictures turned out to be nice snapshots for the day, but this one caught my eye more than the others.
